1 INT. ANTON'S APARTMENT — MORNING

A quiet life,
kept on purpose.

Anton Blackwood lives between two worlds. One built on nostalgia. The other on blood. Beneath his calm exterior, something restless drives him forward.

Week 1, Sunday. Eggs, e-mail, the fire escape.
  1. Wake up. Wash your face. Fix your hair.
  2. Put on a record. Cook breakfast. Watch the news.
  3. Choose an outfit. Some are for the day. Some are not.
  4. Check the fictional internet. Orders arrive overnight.
2 INT. REELTIME DVD — DAY
REELTIME DVD RENTALS & NEW RELEASES — BROOKLYN
REELTIMERENTAL2-DAY
NEW
RELEASE

Inside a quiet DVD store,
time moves slower.

Rows of worn-out movie cases, the hum of an old TV, and the steady presence of the woman who works there. It's a sanctuary Anton Blackwood calls home. Here, he is not the man the city fears. He is someone who can breathe, rewind, and for a moment believe in normal life.

The store is a real system, not a backdrop. Physical media is on its last legs in 2012, and ReelTime only stays open if you make it work: stock what the neighbourhood wants, price it right, keep the floor clean, feed the cat.

Neglected store, per day$60 – 80
Managed store, per day$500+
Monthly rent, bills & hush money~$11,000 – 13,000
Miss one payment: police attention, or loan sharks. Miss a second: game over.

Stock the racks

Order trending titles through the in-game internet. Deliveries land the next morning and have to be shelved by hand.

Set the price

Adjust rental pricing as the store economy shifts. Cheap moves volume. Fair keeps them coming back.

Earn stars

Recommend movies to customers, clean up what they drop, keep the place presentable. Popularity brings foot traffic.

Amelie & the cat

Amelie runs the counter when you can't. Time spent with her opens doors later in the story. The cat needs feeding either way.

Every case is placed by hand. Adventure aisle, front of house.
DVD Planet, AmazeOn, Liberty Defense Supply. The 2012 internet, faithfully faked.
3 INT. REELTIME — BACK OFFICE — LATE AFTERNOON

Two kinds of money.
Neither fully overlaps.

BLACKWOOD keeps the money Anton earns in daylight apart from the money he risks his life for after dark. Each one funds a different half of him.

Clean Cash

daylight

Earned at the counter, and through a few special jobs. It pays for the life that keeps the cover believable.

  • Monthly rent and recurring expenses
  • Store upgrades: coffee corner, popcorn corner, paint, cat collars
  • Outfits and personal purchases
  • Civilian weapons
15% Each day, a slice of Dirty Cash is laundered into Clean. Roughly fifteen percent of what the store made.

Dirty Cash

after dark

Earned on contracts. It buys power, danger and escalation, and none of it can pay the rent.

  • Rare weapons and ammunition
  • Black Market parts, salvage and damaged guns at a discount
  • Combat equipment and professional upgrades
  • Items that unlock unique takedowns

But when the shutters roll down

and the streets go quiet,

Anton heads to the basement.

4 INT. BASEMENT — DUSK

Downstairs,
the other life.

Under the shop floor is a second workplace, and nothing in it is for rent. Contracts arrive by e-mail. The dark web sells the tools. Every night out starts at this desk and ends back here.

  1. 01

    Read the contract

An e-mail lands on the mission computer: the target, the place, the optional challenges, the pay.

  2. 02

    Build the loadout

Buy, repair, or strip guns through the dark web market. What Anton carries out of the basement is what he starts the night with, but weapons and ammunition can also be taken from enemies along the way.

  3. 03

    Set the choreography

Choose Anton's takedowns and arrange the order they play in. More become available as you progress. Anton grew up on movies; to him, a fight isn't chaos, it's a scene.

  4. 04

    Enter the city

Take the car. Leave ReelTime behind. The city is waiting.

Chamber Street station, 23:15 tonight. Stay off main streets. Change your path. Make sure no one talks. Especially not Morello.

Payment on completion. Dirty.

The mission computer, as Anton reads it. One contract a night. The price is the only thing that isn't negotiable.

5 EXT. BROOKLYN — NIGHT
BROOKLYN

New York City, 2012.

Chamber Street, J/Z platform

A corner of Brooklyn
the world forgot.

The city is a period piece. Streaming is a rumour, phones still flip, and the ads on the billboards are for airlines that don't exist. Posters, tattoos, radio broadcasts and neighbourhood decay carry the story as much as the cutscenes do.

Anton's world stretches from a strip of shopfronts in Brooklyn to the subway tunnels under Manhattan, and every location was built to be fought in.

6 EXT. GRAND ARMY PLAZA — NIGHT
17/103GUNPLAY

Grounded.
Then stylish.

Third-person combat that borrows from hard-boiled cinema. Precise, lethal shooting, and a body that moves like it's been in this situation before.

Sprint. Dive. Roll. Slide.

Every move keeps you shooting. Dive through a doorway and land on target; slide under the line of fire and come up firing.

Cover is temporary.

Cover-to-cover mechanics built for pressure. Sit still and they flank you, so use it as a breath, not a home.

30+ weapons, each with its own feel.

Pistols, SMGs, shotguns, rifles, and whatever the Black Market has in pieces. Strip damaged guns for parts and build the one you want.

Semi-destructible environments.

Crates splinter. Glass shatters. Cars take rounds until they don't. Cover won't protect you forever.

7 INT. TRAIN CAR / SCRAPYARD / FIGHT CLUB — NIGHT

Contextual, brutal,
and entirely yours.

The takedown Anton performs depends on where he's standing, where the enemy is, and what's within reach: a wall, a counter, a car door, a train pole. Every successful takedown restores a portion of his health. Choreography Mode lets you decide which ones play, and in what order.

8 EXT. THE ARCH — LATER

9 INT. ANTON'S APARTMENT — LATE

Go home.
Sleep. Save.

Completing a contract returns Anton to the quieter side of his routine, but the day isn't finished. Restock in the basement. Check the store before it closes.

Then sleep, because sleeping is the only thing that saves the day.

A wristwatch. Scroll and the hands run through one full day of Anton's routine. 123456789101112 BLACKWOOD AM SUN BROOKLYN, NY
